Concept

Merchants lack a native way to show shoppers a smart product comparison — why one option beats another, rather than just a spec table. Built this as a standalone product rather than a one-off client feature.

Status

Published on the Shopify App Store — my first app to pass Shopify's review process.

What I Did

Developed the app on Remix + TypeScript + Prisma, with Supabase as the database

Implemented semantic product similarity search using OpenAI embeddings (text-embedding-3-small) and pgvector

Added AI-generated comparison summaries (gpt-4-mini) with structured JSON output and server-side caching
